OUR LOCATION

Il Sole Camping Village lies nestled in the shade of a centuries-old pine forest, about 900 metres from the sea and the town of Marina di Grosseto, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, on the border between the Maremma Natural Park and the Tuscan Archipelago Park. Just a few kilometres from the site, there are towns dating back to the Etruscan, Roman, and medieval periods, beaches recognised as among the most beautiful in Italy (Cala Violina, Cala di Forno, Rocchette), along with some of Europe’s most important areas of outstanding natural beauty and nature reserves (Diaccia Borbottona, Orbetello Lagoon, Burano Lake, etc.).

There are pleasant cycle paths and footpaths through the pine forest but, of course, you can also get around by car. The site has a free shuttle service that runs from mid-June to 10 September and a bicycle rental service.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Since 1975, the campsite has made friendliness and sociability the key components of its management style. Our staff are always at your service.

The aim is to offer a holiday of convenience and comfort in an outstanding natural setting and the beauty of a real campsite!

A campsite must absolutely be a place where visitors can feel the friendliness and where everyone, especially children, should feel free to socialise and have fun.

WHAT WE OFFER

The property has both large shaded pitches from 60 to 100 square metres and five different types of accommodation, in order to offer a solution to all needs and requirements.

Reservations are not required for pitches (but booking is recommended during busy periods) and convenient seasonal contracts are also available. The price of the pitch includes Wi-Fi, parking, electricity, a shuttle service to the beach, access to the campsite’s sports facilities, such as the pool, football pitches and volleyball courts, and a chemical ice freezer. On request, with a small supplement, you can choose pitches with an amperage of 6A and take advantage of private refrigerators.

There is air conditioning in all the village accommodation. The price includes all the utilities (including air conditioning), Wi-Fi, parking, a shuttle service to the beach, access to the campsite’s sports facilities, such as the pool, the fitness park, and the football pitches and volleyball courts.

From mid-June to the first week of September we offer entertainment and evening activities for all ages. On request, the management can also organise fishing expeditions and excursions of all kinds (environmental, historical, food and wine tasting, etc.) In the area, a short distance away, there are other interesting proposals for leisure time, such as sailing schools, wind-surfing and kite-surfing, riding stables, mini golf, tennis courts, and adventure parks. During the season, activities and workshops are offered for children with the aim of encouraging them to fall in love with nature and its friendly inhabitants.

We have a very advantageous agreement with the Bagno Tropical beach establishment, which is located right in front of the campsite and which is the shuttle’s point of arrival to the beach.

THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE SEA

The campsite has been awarded the main international standards of excellence and respect for the environment (ISO 14001 and EMAS certification), which testify to the extreme attention paid to the environment.

And it is in this context that the choice was made to limit excessive water consumption through the timing of showers at a cost of €0.50 each.

Our coast has been awarded the blue flag and the green flag.

The blue flag is a recognition granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to European coastal resorts that meet quality criteria relating to bathing water parameters and the service offered, taking into account, for example, the cleanliness of beaches and tourist landings.

The green flag, awarded by the SIPPS (Italian Society of Preventive and Social Paediatrics) rewards municipalities that stand out for their “child-friendly beaches”, a recognition that is a guarantee of hygiene, safety and protection for children.

In particular, the Green Flag guarantees:

• Safety and security ensured by qualified personnel, experienced lifeguards and trained first responders, both on the beach and in the sea.
• Spacious areas between umbrellas to enable children to play freely and peacefully.
• Low waters and clean seabeds.
• Fine, golden sand that is perfect for making beautiful sand castles
